Significant events

On 15th November 2009 we celebrated the 40th Anniversary of St Margaret’s at our Patronal Festival, when we were honoured to have as our Preacher the Rt Rev Michael Henley, retired Bishop of the Diocese, who had twice been our Chaplain at St Margaret’s and former Chaplain of the Fleet. Also present in the congregation were members of the former Naval Base Church from afar afield as Kent, and a former Naval Chaplain and his wife from Cumbria. Report at this link.

At Pentecost 2010 (23 May) we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of our LEP with a joint Agape meal at which the Rev Lindsey Sanderson, secretary to the Sponsoring Body for LEPs read the Covenant document, followed by a period of silence for reflection. The service sheet is at this link, and a report, with reflections and other inputs, is at this link: both open in new tabs.

On 16 November 2011, we were hosts to the Voskresenije Choir from St Petersburg. A very full house, and a standing ovation at the end! The original publicity is at this link, the programme is at this link, and a report with pictures at this link.

Our magazine

We generally produce 6 issues each year, and a pdf file equivalent to the current issue is linked to our Home page. Since the December 2009 issue, magazines have been produced both in print and electronically, and are archived below.

Where we have included selected issues from previous days, these may be scanned from archive prints, and consequently of variable quality.

2011 February April June August October December
2010 February April June August October December
2009           December

1990         November

Be aware that the links are to the high-resolution versions, where these exist, and the files may be up to 10MB in size, and all will open in a new tab or window.
