Who we are

The Scottish Episcopal Church is a member of the Anglican Communion, and thus a sister church of the Church of England, the Church of Ireland and the Church in Wales, and of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. We are also in full communion with the Poorvo churches, which include the Lutheran churches in Scandanavia.

We are part of the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane. Our Bishop, who is also Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, is the Most Rev David Chillingworth and his Cathedral is in Perth.

We are a “dependent congregation”, operating as an independent unit, even though our Rector is also Rector of Holy Trinity, Dunfermline.

We are an inclusive congregation. We welcome people of all ages, from many different backgrounds and life-situations, those who have been long in the Christian faith, and those who are seeking, exploring, or questioning. We are relaxed and offer space to reflect and grow in faith rather than seeking to impose our beliefs on people.
